Our Willys MB we call “Carly” has been created to honor the Veterans in our family as well as those we met along the way who have protected our freedom as a nation. We purchased the Jeep in Wichita, Kansas in 2018 with the body work done and have really just worked on the mechanical issues since. She’s been in parades, given Veterans rides, and supported the D Day ceremonies at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. These photos were taken on VJ Day this year to mark the 75 anniversary of the surrender of the Japanese in WWII. The rear bumperette states ‘Home of the free because of the brave who drove a Jeep’.

I could never thank the men and women of our Armed Forces enough. The service and sacrifice they have freely given to keep us safe here is deeply appreciated. They deserve a lot more respect than their getting for sure.
My wife and I pray everyday for great blessings for them and their families.

Trying to answer a couple of questions
Jeff Scharping did rescue this jeep from a vacation home in Colorado and did the body restoration. We’ve reworked the entire brake system, cooling system and various other minor mechanical and body tweeks thanks to Kaiser Willys. The 9 slot grill is what Willys went to from the slat grill to save time in manufacturing
and some weight at the suggestion of Ford. The 7 slot grill came out with the CJ2A
