
Back in 2002 a friend told me about an old truck for sale in Allentown, Pennsylvania. My wife and I drove down from Brooklyn, NY to take a look at it. We fell in love with the old rust bucket. With no breaks at the time we decided to switch Rios from a scout with the brakes we added power steering and air-conditioning. We rebuilt the 351 Windsor that was replaced by the previous owner. Replaced the T 19 with overdrive with a NP 435 & Dana 300. Picked up a bed kit / windshield / and a number of other cool parts at Kaiser Willys. Eight years later with some blood sweat and tears I this is the result.

Looks like you did a fine job. Great looking little truck. I’ll bet that thing is dangerously fast with the o/d and the 351.

Louis, What a great looking truck,,,have one frame up restoration in my shop now and have to finish it ., Well have many Willys,,,but the 53 pickup needs to get finished,,,put a V -6 buick GM engine in a 2A years ago, power assist vacuum disk brakes, tilt wheel,, and boy does he go. Really like to see more pictures of your build, will have to post some pics of it
