Battleship gray, restored with L134 engine. Runs great. I like it without the canvas top. I ordered all the parts from Kaiser Willys to make it run like a champ. I purchase the Jeep from World Wide Vintage Auto in Denver; had it trucked to Los Angeles then shipped across the pacific to Guam.

I have two older brothers that shared the story of my dad owning a WWII Jeep that he got as a gift from U.S. Navy Seabees. My Dad drove it for years in his construction business during the early 1950s. He drove it until it would no longer run. During my Navy days all military vehicles where 1970s to present time. I always wanted to have a Navy Jeep and finally when I had the money to get one, I went all the way to find one, and haha, found it at Denver. This is the only CJ-2A on island at this time. It’s a head turner since Guam is a very patriotic island with lots of military veterans to include Navy retires that serve during WWII. I fly Navy and U.S. colors during military funerals. Thanks to Kaiser Willys for all the parts I ordered to keep this Jeep running and in making this Jeep the “Jeep 1” on Guam.

If that is a CJ2A why does it have a CJ3A windshield on it? I thought the CJ2A had a split ,tilt out windshield. It’s still a nice looking jeep.

Thank you all for the review, great to be on this KaiserWillys blog. Dan: Yes, NAS Agana is now an industrial center, the only building left there now is the “Fiddler’s Green” Chief’s Club and now converted over to a social center for youths. Nining’s Place was in my hometown and a great hang out back in the day, now the area is “Harley Davidson Dealership”.
Take care and Stay Safe.

I spent a year and a half there on Guam while in the USMC. I wanted to stay there but could not do more than three tours at company D. Had a 66 beetle I paid $50 for and sold it for 50 when I left. I would have love to have an old Jeep. Im sure it is well appreciated there. Nice Jeep.

Awesome! You should be very proud. Can you tell us what year your CJ2A is? The rounded single windshield looks like it’s from a CJ3A, and did you mount the spare on the back or is that navy issue?

You are welcome to come to the island, you don’t have to worry about a place to stay. We’ll ride the jeep around the island and BBQ after soaking up sunshine and a few suds. I also have two harleys ready to go.
Take care,
Joe Blas

It is a 1947 CJ2A, I bought it as shown with a 3A windshield and 3A gas tank, 6 holes fuel sending unit, everything else is correct. I’m happy with it. Sunday drive.
Best regards,
