My 1955 Willys M38A1 is a rescued vehicle that has been restored back to its original form and glory. Of course, the previous owners did not know the vehicle was a military version and were calling it a CJ. It was purchased in 2020 and its restoration is almost complete. This is my second restoration with my first one being a 1971 CJ-5 that Kaiser Willys also helped me put together. The vehicle was originally an army vehicle painted olive drab. I have restored it to be a Navy Base vehicle from the Naval Station Roosevelt Roads in Ceiba, Puerto Rico where I’m originally from. Currently part of the Georgia MVPA where Mr. Robert Brough and his son Bryant Brough assisted me with part of the restoration process. Being my grandfather was in the military with multiple friends in the Navy and Army, it really brings a passion to military vehicles.

  1. What a beautiful Jeep! I give it 2 thumbs up! I’m restoring a 1952 M38A1 right now along with a
1942 Ford Gpw. I hope they come out as nice as yours did! Congratulations on a job “Well Done”!

  3. Very nice job. I always think restoring an old jeep is preserving history and after they are done they are just as admired and cool as the new ones. Thanks for sharing!

  5. My dad has a 1955 military jeep with a longer bed. I think was a medic jeep. I does not run and is in a little worse shape of what you started with
Do you think it is worth restoring or should he just sell it. If so how much is it worth?

    Please let me know. Thanks
