My 1955 M38A1 is a rescued vehicle that has been restored back to its original form and glory. Of course, the previous owners did not know the vehicle was a military version and were calling it a CJ. It was purchased in 2020 and it’s restoration is almost complete. This is my second restoration with my first one being a 1971 CJ-5 that Kaiser Willys also helped me put together. The vehicle was originally an army vehicle painted olive drab. I have restored it to be a Navy Base vehicle from the Naval Station Roosevelt Roads in Ceiba, Puerto Rico where Im originally from. Currently part of the Georgia MVPA where Mr Robert Brough and his son Bryant Brough assisted me with part of the restoration process. Being my grandfather in the military with multiple friends in the Navy and Army, really brings a passion to military vehicles.
