****My beautiful 1950 CJ-3A was stolen from the barn at our cabin sometime between June 24th and June 29th, 2012.  I was hoping there was something you could do, we are kind of a clan. The Cabin is in Clear Creek Pines units 8/9.  35 mi south of Winslow AZ. I love my old Willys and I hope I get her back in one piece. Here are a bunch of pictures of my CJ-3A:

  1. This is for Lee Mathiesen regarding his stolen CJ-3a. This is terrible….Here is a facebook link to a group that is real big on old vehicles and Route 66. They are very friendly and helpful and just posted recently photos in Winslow AZ. I would definitely post on this site and ask for help – I am sure you will get some positive feed-back and help with keeping an eye out for your vehicle. 3. don’t give up on it, i recovered a tractor that had been gone for two years. Always fill out the “i haven’t gotten it back yet” card that the police will likely send every year. I didn’t and nearly missed getting the tractor back. Thanks to a very thorough MO state trooper though, my tractor is now back at work for me.

I’ll keep an eye out here in Missouri too. Sorry about Willys man. I despise cowards that steal anyway.

  7. I hope you get it back, but you are close to Mexico. These old jeeps have pretty poor vin numbers, if any at all. If you catch the S.O.B I would consider it justifiable homicide if I were on the jury! Good luck to you, I truely meen that.

  11. I live in Tampa, Fl and I am sorry to hear that your CJ3A has been stolen. I am a member of two antique car clubs here in the Tampa area and will post the information for everyone to see. It’s amazing that you just can’t have nice things without someone wanting to steal them. Good luck in your search. Greg

  13. Lee, I am sure you sent photo’s to the police as well. I am guessing they towed it with the bar. Check out any tracks in the dirt. Someone knew it was there if that is all they took from your cabin. Also post this with EWILLYS and they may post it on their website. Any defining features that can not be changed or that are unique to this jeep will also help. Hope you get it back – mean people and thieves suck!

  15. I am sorry about your lose. I have myself one of those Jeeps and I would be very upset if something like this happend to it. I was going to suggest that you should take a close look at Craigslist adds. Sometimes thiefts publish adds to sell what they stole. Look for adds in the surrounding areas and focus in the ones that are not showing pictures.
I live in Houston and will keep an eye for your Jeep. Ricardo

  17. Lee , I do a lot of travelling for my job in Oklahoma. If I spot it, whoever is driving will have a slip and fall accident, right before the police arrive. Good luck, I hope it returns in one piece.
