472: Billy Steers’ 1951 Willys CJ-3A
My Jeep was originally a Jeep Tractor and still has the three point hitch bumper and heavier duty suspension it came with. It was the 55th Jeep Tractor produced and at one point worked at a lumber yard in CT probably as a forklift. Jeep Tractors came from the factory with no windshield, headlights, speedometer, horn or tailgate. It only had a driver seat and hydraulic PTO to run farm implements in tow. Old advertisements exist for ‘Jeep Tractors’ and ‘Farm Jeeps’ but the Jeep Tractor never really took off. I restored it nineteen years ago and love to drive it.
