I spent most of my life in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains, and so has my 1951 Willys CJ-3A. It has bounced from one owner to another until the engine seized up in the early ’90s. I finally managed to acquire it in 2016 and decided to get it running in 2021. The next thing I knew it was stripped down to the bare frame and completely rebuilt. Thanks to Kaiser Willys all the parts I required were easy to get, from the brakes to the new steel body and everything in between. Hopefully the CJ-3A’s new life will last another 70 years on the country roads of the Adirondack High Peaks.

What a nice jeep! I’ve found that in all my restorations a new body kit is the best
way to go! It saves the heartbreak of rust creeping back in and having to tear it
back down in just a few years after patching up old panels! With the right amount
of preventative maintenance it should be around for decades! Again, Nice Job!

Greg, What a beautiful job you did!!!! It just looks perfect, back to like new. I know what you mean about those wonderful times spent in the mountains, exploring the back roads and smelling the fresh air…
Keep right on enjoying the fun!!!
Hello, I,m in Indian Lake and have a cj3a. It would be cool to get the old jeeps together and I’d love to hear stories about ADK jeeps, I’d love to take the old girl up Whiteface and any local 4 wheeling would be great. Steve
