My grandfather bought this 1963 CJ-5 back in the 80’s as a first car for my mother in high school. He started it the project Jeep which was originally used for plowing snow in the icy Montana winters. It needed everything. So my grandpa rebuilt the engine, and started on the body work and even got it to the point where he could almost drive it, then he parked it and it sat static for twenty or so years. Pretty soon my mom had kids of her own and her father was now my grandfather. Pretty soon it was my turn to get a first car for high school. We finally decided on the Jeep. Three years ago my grandpa and I started where he had left off. My grandpa and I poured hours and years into the meticulous restoration of this beautiful vehicle. From paint to wiring to a transmission rebuild. I now am the proud owner of an amazing 1963 CJ-5 because of my awesome grandpa. Thanks for the restoration and the fun times we had doing it papa.
