1948 Willys CJ-2A - Photo submitted by Chad Walker.

This 1948 Willys CJ-2A is the result of a 5-year nut and bolt restoration. The frame and grill are original, but the tub and fenders are reproductions. I purchased it a couple of years ago from the gentleman who restored it; it had been sitting for several years and his health forced the sale. I demilitarized its appearance, worked out some bugs, added a Saturn OD, and converted it to disc brakes. The desert landscape photos attached to this form were taken in Big Bend National Park on Black Gap Road and Old Ore Road.

My wife’s grandparents purchased this Jeep for the farm in October 201947. Is it equipped with a PTO and a three-point hitch? They used it on the farm until they retired. Then it went to my wife’s father and he used it on the farm, And then it went to Susan and I about a year and a half ago, it had been completely disassembled by her brother. And I’ve been working on it to bring it back to original condition. With the help of Kaiser Willys parts department. I’ve been able to figure out where everything goes. And hopefully within the next few months, I’ll have it on the road, and in pristine condition.
