My M38A1 was built in May of 1953 for the US Army. This Jeep retains its original F Head engine and is painted in the Strata blue of the US Air Force. Being retired from the US Air Force I needed something to keep myself occupied in retirement with. I decided that a running project M38A1 would be perfect to occupy my time with, by having a running project I can both enjoy driving it immediately and restore it as time permits. I wanted my Jeep to reflect my Military Branch of service. As luck would have it I stumbled upon this Strata Blue M38A1 within 300 miles of my home. This M38A1 had good bones but needed a lot of TLC in both paint and its mechanicals. I am having a blast going thru the mechanicals and doing the detail painting. My plans are to drive this Jeep locally and taking it it to the local cars shows / Veteran Day events.
