This is the end of 15 years of gathering and cleaning parts to build the classic Jeep you see in the photo. I started at the frame and boxed when needed. I rebuilt the engine, transmission, and transfer case. I had Trans Axel in Maple Shade, NJ do the front and rear differential because I did not have the proper tools to do so myself. Everything on this Jeep has been touched. Where I could, I used NOS parts. I traveled as far as Montana in my search and got most of the after-market parts from Kaiser Willys (Thank you, Mike) The color was my own choice, but I did not paint it myself. That job was done by Hainesport A/B in Hainesport, NJ and everyone raves about it. I have already placed it car shows and had to answer a lot of questions on it. A great thank you and credit goes to Bruce Powell for his help with the body. It was initially supposed to take 1 hour to install; after 30 days it looked rather good. The only thing I regret is my wife, Barb, never got to take a ride in it. She put up with me a lot and this Jeep, over the years. She passed away in May of 2019 after almost 50 years of marriage. With her spirit riding with me now, there is nothing left to do but work it and have fun on the open road.

  7. Looks good. I have a 1949 CJ3a that had the same color wheels with the red stripe. Most of the color is gone on mine and the stripe is just barely visible. Just curious what color is the wheels and did you do them or someone else? Thanks for your time.

  12. Sorry for your loss, she rests in peace. Great looking Jeep…yes, hard work always pays off; the head turner, the story, the spirit within…all significant. Ride into the wind, it changes your life. Yes, Kaiser Willys is super great, I have never had a single complaint, Mike gives you his thoughts like your Jeep is his, he takes it to the top.
