Having previously restored 2 Jeeps, a 71 CJ-5 and a 55 m38A1, I was eager to get into the “flatfender” world. As a huge fan of military Jeeps, I came across this already started restoration of this 1952 M38 through the Georgia MVPA and decided this was the one. I decided that with this jeep I was going to learn the deep mechanics of the Go Devil engine and was going to rebuild an engine as well to go with the build. The excitement was real when I was able to crank this jeep from the first time, having put together every bit and piece of this engine and electrical system. My first time putting my newly restored jeep was being able to participate in the Go Devil Run East where it was really put to the test by running around 250+ miles of back-roads, highways, and trails.
