Q: Will this shaft directly replace the bendix type universal joint without any modifications?
- A: Yes, that is correct. They just slide in.
Q: I will need both driver and passenger side front axle shaft assemblies. How are the universal joints lubricated? Can’t see any grease fittings.
- A: The other part number is 909460. Yes, these come complete with fittings for grease.
Q: The old shafts have threaded ends and the new ones don’t. Do you have to change out the hubs to fit the new style axle shafts?
- A: These are interchangeable. These will work with all the original equipment perfectly.
Q: Just wondering if I can replace one axle. the new ones have the universal joint type pivot, while the old existing one that I won’t change out will still have the older type joint. My jeep is a 1953 CJ-3B. Thanks Jim
- A: Yes you can replace just one side no problem.
