720: Mario Maipid’s 1943 GPW
Ford Louisville Branch built, Date of Delivery 2-16-43, all matching Serial Numbers. It was used in the liberation of Guam in 1944. This Jeep was brought back to the mainland CONUS in 1949 by a U.S.N. officer. I acquired this Jeep in 2014. This jeep is seen around local events year round, in parades, military observances, veteran events including at the Ford Louisville Assembly Plant to promote the history of its WW2 production years. It was on display for two consecutive years at the Kentucky State Fair Educational Exhibition. Today it bears the name “ASHLEY” a very special friend.
