711: Rochelle Pall’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A

A dealership in Spokane WA had permission from Willys to extend a few CJ’2As. This was done for a company that made Rose Parade floats, this was original Rose Parade float puller then eventually they built them right on “Stretch”. Eventually it was parked in a warehouse and then sold and passed around until we purchased it a few years ago and got it back on the road and off-roading. We just flat towed it from California to Yellowstone and drove it over 400 miles in Yellowstone then took it to Colorado for 3 days of off-roading.

  1. Greetings! Thanks for sharing your Jeep and your story. I had never heard of a “stretch” and it is a fine looking machine you have and I really like the flat top. I’m 81 and was with my parents, I’m told, when they purchased our 1946 CJ-2A and I still drive it and it remains totally stock!! Totally! You and I appear to agree on the proper finish for a CJ and I have let every scratch, dent, nick and fade remain as they are witnesses to a working life. Last week I pulled some shrubs for a neighbor and everyone was impressed that “Jeep” was so strong and succeeded so effortlessly. We are here in Idaho Falls and usually remain in Town, but have been on some back roads. Best of luck to you and your Jeep! Joe Stokes
