630: David Roe’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A
We purchased Wilma from a friend in Virginia and exported her to southern Australia. She was pretty rough when we purchased her so after getting her to Australia we decided that the old girl needed a mid life restoration. I hooked up with an old school friend of mine that works on hot rods and asked him if he would do a ground up restoration for me. He couldn’t even spell Willys but I think the results he achieved speak for themselves. Since the frame off restoration we have overhauled her little L134 Go Devil and she now runs like a Swiss watch.
We love our land in the country Victoria, Australia and the local backroads are perfect for taking Wilma out and “cruisin”. She gets attention from old and young alike and we love sharing her story.
