625: Bill Greco’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A
Here are some photos of my early 1946 column shift CJ-2A barn find. I got this project from a guy who owned it for 40 years. It took me three months to convince him to sell it to me… This was a frame off, ground up restoration. All parts were taken down to bare metal by sandblasting them or having them chemically dipped. All the black parts were powder coated. The photos tell the rest of the story.

I really appreciate the before-and-after photos. You put a lot of work into this Jeep, my friend. Congratulations on a job well done. I love the two tone paint job, you don’t see it very often.

Looks like both a lot of work and a great deal of satisfaction. No offense intended to our brothers and sisters that wish to maintain the military nostalgia, but I really like your choice of colors.

A great restoration job, but whatever happened to the handbrake? My first Jeep was a ’46 2A with the steering column shift also, they are identical vehicles to the Jeep used in the Roy Rogers show by his buddy Pat brady. When the museum closed nelly belle sold for $116.000.

Why this Jeep does not have the word Willys embossed on the metalsheet below the front windscreen?
Many years ago I had a 1947 Willys that had it.
