453: William Mahlmann’s 1959 Willys CJ-5
This CJ-5 sat for 28+ years untouched. The owner who was 8o+ gave it to me. The frame was good, motor seized, wheels seized, body rotted, floor rusted through. I freed up the stuck intake valve and eventually got it running and started the total body off restoration. Four years later I’m almost done. Runs like a top!

A good restoration job. It usually turns out to be worth the effort with enjoyment and prestige. A real jeep.
