We were driving down I-84 and my wife spotted this in a farmers backyard. We met the 95 year old nephew of the original owner. The deal was done in 10 minutes and the relationship with Arthur, a WWII Army Air Corp B-24 gunner, has lasted years. Arthur, the truck, was a farm truck and fall-time hunting rig. We have the original sales receipt. What a hard working brute of a truck. Many great stories. I replaced the fuel and entire electrical systems. New brakes, front springs, drag link rebuild and shocks. The Super Hurricane is untouched. After the refresh we drove 300 miles, at 45 mile an hour, to take Arthur out for lunch in his old Willys Pickup.

  1. That’s so great driving that far to show the truck and take Arthur for a ride. I bet he loved it, these old Willys always bring fond memories. He probably was more excited to see it than you were.
    Good job.

  9. Nice truck all original, what a gem. Leave the way you bought it. It was a nice gesture that you took the nephew for a ride in the truck. It is these kind of stories that makes me appreciate my Willys-Overland truck even more.
