New Replacement Master Horn Button Kit – Part#: 802359K
Q: HORN QUESTION – I HAVE A 1961 FC-150. IT HAS A ROD IN THE CENTER OF THE STEERING COLUNM THAT IS SUPPOSED TO ACTIVATE THE HORN SWITCH – IT DOES NOT WORK. THE HORN SOUNDS ALL THE TIME IF YOU LEAVE THE WIRE CONNECTED AT THE SWITCH.
- A: It sounds like you are making the connection on the rod and missing the insulator to disrupt.
Q: I have a 1948 Jeepster and need a kit like this. Would this one work?
- A: No, this is for CJ’s only. The part number you want to order is: 643348K
Q: I have a CJ-2A. Do I need anything else to make the horn work besides this kit? Also, I need a new horn. Do you have them? What category are they in?
- A: This is really complete. You may also need part number: A302, A302B
If yours are missing. We also have new 6volt and 12 volt horns. It is a new item. Please call us toll free.
Q: In which order do these parts go on and also there is nothing to screw the big silver bolt on to the steering wheel. I have a 1948 CJ-2A, there is just an open hole where the horn goes, am I missing any other parts that I need..
- A: The nut screws onto the end of your tube & worm gear. Please call me toll free. I can walk you thru the install.
Q: I’m ordering the plastic horn button cover, steering wheel, pins and cushions for horn button cover so what electric components do I need to complete my horn setup…I’m already ordering the relay for the 12v setup so what harness or HORN BUTTON is required to complete the 1951 willys truck?
- A: This is not for a Willys Truck. It is for the vehicles listed above only. We have the horn button, cushions, and pins inner cup available for the Willys Truck. Please call me toll free. I can help out.

I have a ’52 M38a1. I want to instal a horn. I removed the steering wheel, it was the wrong one anyways and I have the NOS steering wheel. I also have the switch kit: Nut, copper plate, rubber cover and wire with a spring and contact at one end and male connector at the other end. What else do I need and what do I do now? I did run a rod through the column just to see where it comes out. But from there, what do I do? Thanks
Larry

How do you install a horn button on a 1950 Jeepster? My grandaughter was playing with the horn and the horn buttom came off and fell on the floor. The horn worked great until that moment. How do you get the horn button on with the three pins in the rubber holder? All parts are new, but I can’t get the horn button on. Are there any tricks?
Thanks
Brad
Hi Brad,
The holes on the horn button itself should line up with the pins. It’s a bit of a tight install. The pins should push in a bit to help you angle it in. Its tricky at best. Give the guys at the parts counter toll free 1-888-648-4923 if you have any other questions and they will be happy to help you! Have a great day!

I have a 1948 Willey’s Jeepster and the horn is not working. I want to remove the horn button to check on the wiring or parts in the drive shaft, maybe?
Thank you in advance.
