I’ve owned Willys vehicles since 1976. When I joined a local car club, one of the retired members had a beautiful 1949 Jeepster in his collection of ten restored cars of various years and makes. When at a club BBQ at his house he allowed us to see his collection. I asked him if he ever decided to sell his Jeepster could he let me be first in line. Six months later I was the new owner of the restored Jeepster. I would have never had time to restore my ‘50 Jeepster. It was a smart deviation to buy Gene’s Jeepster, whose niece drove it to high school, then he had it restored and drove it on the CHVA car club national tour. I’ve been enjoying his Jeepster since 1991.
