Like many old Icelandic Jeeps this one was put together by using parts from left over stuff by the U.S. Army and still has the machine gun bolt on plate under the back seat. The rest, was made by an enthusiast back in about 1973’ish. These legends paved the way for Icelandic Jeep mountaineering as well as being used for farming and even as school transport. It has parts from the original MB Willys, Ford GPW as well as home made stuff because we had to make do back in the days on this isolated island. It passed its annual inspection last year without comment and will be kept in the family to honor Grandpa’s memory.

Very nice job using some fabrication of your own. It looks really nice!!
The Icelanders always impress me with their fabrication skills. Nice work!
Very cool old boy, never have seen the front fenders like those, must have been a custom job. Nice old Willys
