092: Mike Gibson’s 1947 Willys CJ-2A
My son found this 1947 CJ-2A in an old collapsing barn in southern Ohio almost eight years ago. Without your ability to supply the parts that have been needed (to numerous to count) and your excellent advice along with your expertise in walking me through a few things, this project would have been impossible!
By the way, you recently posted on your web site “the top ten things you will need for your Willys restoration” I got all of them from you! Keep up the good work, “Every Jeep” deserves a New Life! I believe this on is on it”s ninth.

Nice-nice, looking good and many hours restoring, it pay’s off the fruits of
your labor. We also have a 1947 CJ-2A, still working on it, hope it will look

Mike , what a good looking Willys. you did a bang up job, what about the engine would like to see pics of it. I noticed your 47 license plates looks cool. I have had two 47 Willys so far and after seeing your project looking for another one. Enjoy !!!!!!!

Mike , Nice job. I had a 1947, It was military I think, had all the waterproof electrical system. Also had an anvil looking thing between the seats, maybe to lock in a machine gun or someting. Anyone have any ideas? Am working on a CJ2A 1946. Great time getting her going. …..Mike
