091: David Dement’s 1948 CJ-2A

These are a few shots of my 1948 CJ-2A which I restored. I started in July of 2004 and got it on the road in 2009. Not complete yet, but are they ever? Kaiser Willys helped out a lot along the way!

  1. Very nice indeed restored very well. You may want to take a look at the tailpipe length
might want to shorten it 4-6″ appears a little long. Otherwise greatlooks.

  3. Great looking Jeep David. I wish I had one this far along. Don’t lesson them on the tail pipe, I know you are just thinking of your back seat occupants. Got to keep the regulations in mind on a rebuild, how many inches behind the passanger compartment was that anyway I forget.

  5. Sweet Jeep. My 46 is nowhere NEAR this condition but the ft view is making me reconsider changing the grille to an older one. I may just use the factory grille. 1st I need a replacement ft diff. All in good time.

  7. Amazing restoration, David! You’ve got to be proud. Looks great and I bet it even looks better driving down the road.

  9. I have a CJ-2A 1947 which has been in my family almost 40 years. I really enjoy seeing one in as good condition as you have painstakingly restored yours! Great job!
