I bought this 1948 Willys CJ-2A two years ago and preceded to put it back together with a twist. With a fair amount of body work and a slight stretch I installed a Toyota 22r 5 speed Toyota transfer case and axles. Rear has a hi pinion third from a Land Cruiser. I also have 4 wheel power disk brakes and steering. Air lockers on board air and winch. I wanted to keep the overall look and feel of a vintage Jeep wheeler but with better driving and handling. This was a very fun project that couldn’t have been done without many calls to Kaiser Willys for parts.
