I purchased my 1946 Willys CJ-2A in 2019 from the widow of an older gentleman who passed away. He had began the restoration, but health problems kept him from finishing. It was a box of parts when I got it, and I put new floors in it and fixed everything except keeping the exterior patina. Now a member of Southern Ontario Flatfender Association, I wheel it, drive it, and cruise it. It’s not show and shine ready, but it gets used for what it was made for, and I love it. I’ll keep it forever and pass it down to my newborn son when my time is up.

  1. Greetings from Idaho! Great work with your CJ-2A and must tell you I still drive the one my parents bought new in 1946. I am 81 so was three at the time and was told I was with them, but don’t remember the day of purchase. I’ve left the Jeep 100% stock and this includes 6 Volts + original wheels and such. We go for rides every day in the summer, but park inside a heated garage for the winter. This one shows lots and lots of patina and we feel it has earned every dent, scratch, chip and fade and are proud of them. Just last week we pulled large shrubs for our neighbor so it continues to be a workhorse. My Mama taught me to drive in our Jeep and I taught my son so it is definitely part of the family. Best of luck to your and your Jeep partner.
