New Minor Overhaul Repair Kit – Part#: D18ABSG

Q: Is there a website or book out there to identify my Jeep? I purchased it in 1975 and it has been sitting in a barn in NY ever since. I have the time to rebuild just need to order the right parts.

  • A: Please call me toll free. I can usually look it up by your vin number. Check out the Jeep Hunters Field Guide in the Kaiser Willys Catalog.

Q: What will be the approximate weight (to take along overseas) for this kit?

  • A: The weight is approx 4 pounds boxed.

Q: For a transfer case overhaul kit, do I measure the nut size or the shaft itself? It’s a 1948 Willys CJ-2A – numbers on the case have, T90A-1 – Spicer.

  • A: Measure the diameter of the intermediate shaft itself.

Q: I got a transfer case seal kit from the previous owner of my truck when I bought it.. I was wondering if you sell a rebuilt kit without the seals?

  • A: The seal kits only come complete with the seals.

Q: On the CJ-2A 1948 Transfer case you stated for right kit, measure the intermediate shaft size, what is the intermediate shaft location?

  • A: It is the shaft that is in the middle of your transfer case. It can be measured by looking to the left of your emergency brake drum and to the right of the access cover.

Q: Do you have rebuild kits for the other 2 shaft sizes?

Q: I need the felt seals for the T18 output yoke. What is the part number for them?

  • A: 923896 & 932295 are the two seals you need for the Dana 18 transfer case.

Q: Do you carry the retainer piece that bolts to the case and holds the intermediate shaft in place? I have a Dana 18 with 1 1/8 shaft.

  • A: We can get that item good used for you.

Q: I have a 1947 Jeep Willys with a Dana 18 transfer case. Which shaft should I pick? Or how can I determine which one?

  • A: Typically in that year you would have the 1-1/8″ shaft. Its best to measure. They are not interchangeable obviously.
