Here is my girl, “RoseBud” She is from Mr. Swenson of Chamberlin, SD. He was the original owner of this 1951 Overland Willys 4wd Pick-up. Unfortunately he passed a year back. Power Train is the F134 F head, pretty beat up, but I have gotten the engine running. Working on the brakes, gas tank and lines and hope to have her driving by October 4th. As you can see, I have a tuck under garage that makes working on her a chore. The team picture is after we got it loaded on the trailer. That Mr. Swenson seated.
Funny story to show you that I am really a rookie in this restoration project. A friend of mine helped me get ready for the innuragural start, he held the riding mower gas tank while I crawled into the cab. Turned the key, held steering wheel with both hands and pressed the foot starter. Between the excitement and the engine loudness with no exhaust manifold on it, I for got to take foot off the starter. The new garage joke.
