Timken rear end, 4 Cyl 3 speed. Whoever had it just pieced it together, it will be original sooner or later. It is a barn find a friend bought. I had to have it. It’s in the process of being restored to a daily driver. It runs and stops now but has minor issues that will be fixed with time and money. When I was a youngster I had a 1952 Station Wagon that over the years was sold when I was in the Military. The Lab is my running buddy.
More Pictures of my jeep work in progress: Motor is all there and runs (thanks for the Solex carb from Kaiser Willys) door panels are original, not perfect but serviceable (they were behind the seat in the cab) Body is real straight, no visible rust, “yet”. Still needs a steering box, it works now but it’s real worn out. Motor picture is when replacing generator with a single wire alternator to fix charging issue. So far the fuel system is replaced (Pump, lines and carburetor) charging system and wiring completely replaced front differential completely gone through. (Surprisingly just needed gaskets and new brake shoes) all this after 4 hours with a pressure washer to clean off 63 years of dried, crusty grease and grim from the under carriage and a good wash and wax on the paint (prior owner rattle canned the black on the doors and fenders. Sooner or later it will all be GREEN. Still need inner door metal trim around door windows transfer case boot, original seat, windshield wipers, and a few other minor things.
