I am a USPS letter carrier and an Army vet. I started my new route 6 years ago and noticed this CJ-2A in a pasture. Trees and weeds were all grown up around it. So for 5 years I dreamed of saving this piece of history. I watched it 5 days a week for 5 years. One day I told my wife I was tired of looking at it just sitting out there. I made contact with the owner and worked out a deal. Next thing I knew a buddy and I were pulling it out and putting it on a trailer. For a solid year I put in long hours on top of a regular 40 hr work week working on this Jeep. My goal was to drive it in the veterans day parade a year later. We’ll, I did my best work and made that parade. It been a labor of love and we’ll worth it. I know my family and I will enjoy this piece of history for the years to come.
