Some people rescue dogs (I do) but I rescued this Jeep about 20 years ago at an auction for minimum bid. It was in rough shape (like you see now) with the motor torn down in the back. I missed my 1947 CJ-2A so I wanted to get this running. I found a good motor in the classifieds (pulled from a 59 for a pinto motor insert) and put that in. Then I lost that job (where I was working on the Jeep) and had it towed to my house. Nosey neighbors and no garage meant I couldn’t work on it, so it sat under a tarp until this year. I now have moved to a bigger house with two car garage and the truck is going in (this month) and work will begin this winter. I hope to make it mostly original with some comfort added. Oddly it has a turn signal switch with eastern europe type letters on it.
