Willys was one my dream vehicles, my first restoration was a Suzuki Samurai 89; did a 2 inch lift with 32 inches tires, did a engine swap kit (Sidekick 1.6 liter 16 valves) Calmini clutch stage 2, straight 2 and quarter muffler, rear lock diferential and the list goes on and on! I purchased “Willy” a couple of years ago and did quite a bit to it but kept it original among some modifications to it without making a mockery of it’s history. In terms of esthetic and practical features I put a radio CD player MP3, speakers and heater in AMO box. Flat screen behind seats in custom made pouches, safer seat belts, safer brakes, military tires, flashers are in headlights, 7 piece soft top and seats to match. Between the driver and passenger I put a fire extinguisher; next to the radio in AMO. Beside the engine this is where I put the siren with switch next to steering wheel. Where the data plate is with specifications: I removed it and put a speaker in the hole that was already there and put a Canadian aviation badge to hide the speaker properly: the sounds comes out really good! Other speakers are under the rear seat in AMO box. The paint color is from Land Rover 1974; flat beige; similar color they use in Sahara for their military trucks. I’m a young lady from Canada with a passion for restoration, I hope to have the opportunity to build another one soon, of course when I find the lucky “one” to rebuild!
Best regards,
Marie Talbot

I am wondering where you got your custom canvas work done at? Do you have any photos of the 7 piece top and matching seat covers? I love your ideas with “improvements”. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

Hello, I too am interested in the features of your jeep. I have a 53 M38A1 I am restoring now- I would like to make it safer and have a little tv to show the rebuild process at car shows. Hope you will email me so we can exchange Jeep Ideas and Pics.
Thanks
