532: David Hedrick’s 1946 CJ-2A with CJ-3A Body
The first two vehicles that I owned in my life were CJ5 Jeeps, a 1966 Willys/Kaiser followed a few years later by a 1973 AMC Jeep. Several years ago I decided to become a Jeep owner again and tackle a classic Willys Jeep restoration. Focusing on owning an original “flat-hood” Willys Jeep, I bought this 1946 CJ-2A with a CJ-3A replacement body from a previous restoration. Though it had been partially restored, it needed significant work. Its original paint job was Silver with black trim. After two years of work and a custom fire engine red and black trim paint job the project was completed.
