270: Ovidio Patiño Montoya’s 1953 Willys CJ-3B
This is my 1953 Willys CJ-3B I have been restoring for the last 4 years. I started this project with my 13 year old son in Manizales, Colombia, South America to teach him discipline and commitment to any endeavor in life. We drive it on weekends around the city and in the countryside with my wife and my son. It is my son’s first car and hopefully he will keep it and give it to his children.

This has to be the nicest restoration job I’ve seen in a long time. Bravo, for a job well done! I too am currently working on making a set of hubs that will allow the rear axles to free wheel so that if my jeep needs to be towed it will be like pulling a four wheeled trailer with nothing turning internally. Thanks for letting us all see your wonderful restoration! You must be quite proud of it!
Beautiful! No lifting, no wide wheels , or big tires and beautiful as she is.I like’em this way.
Did you put lock-out hubs on the rear axle also? Do they work fairly well?
Beautiful Jeep!
Rob;
The top is custom made, I designed it and worked with a local manufacturer in Colombia. It turned out to be pretty decent.
