134: Dave Brudy’s 1957 Willys FC-150
Frame off restoration by Tom Frank a known jeep restorer. It has been restored to factory specs and not many if any in this condition. 1957 was the first year they were built to help on the farm and to plow snow from lots – kind of like a tractor pickup.

I got it from California, east coast ones are hard to restore because of the salt. It was unique and I have never seen one before so I thought others would also be interested in its history. I am only the 3rd owner and it only has 32,000 miles on it. It’s a piece of American and JEEP history.

Wow, very nice.
I do have a question, though: Where’s the motor?!
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris, in the FC-150’s the engine is located in the cab between the driver and passenger seat.

I have a question. Is the color foam green? I have a 62 cj5 and foam green is the orignal color and I wasent sure I liked it. If your fc is that color it sure is nice. Even if it isint it might be my new chioce of color. Great jeep! Nicest I’ve ever seen.

Very nice job on the restro. Never seen one either as I was not born on a farm. ha,ha city guy. By looking at the photos. NONE of the engine area… Always photo the engine area. Thats a must folks. I would believe the engine is close to the front of jeep and kinda between the seats. A PHOTO woud clear this up…
wouldnt it. Is it gas or other type engine, 4, 6 cly?????

Congratulations, Dave. Great restoration. This truck is really gorgeous and tough, yet reminds me a toy in some way (toy for grown up guys :-).
My wife and I, here in Rio/Brazil, have restored a 1962 CJ-3B (https://blog.kaiserwillys.com/a-willys-jeep-friendship). We love the Hurricane engine, it’s just amazing. But we still have some problems with Carter Carb… But we have a lot of fun with our high hood!
Regards,
David
