We bought our Willys as a 1st anniversary gift for my wife and I back in 2004. It sat in my in-laws’ barn for 5 years until we moved into their area and were able to get a house and finally bring it to our own garage. It’s been slow going, but steady. (We have 4 other jeeps to keep us busy too!) I’ve done all the tear down and rebuild work myself, with the help of my wife and friends. It has been a great joy to rebuild. It’s still in progress, and should be on the road in another year. Our goal is to be able to take it to enjoy the scenery in Colorado in 2013 for the fall color tour. I’ve learned a ton, and learn more every time I move on to the next project. I just finished updating and redoing the rear dana 44, and installed a warn overdrive. I am currently working on rebuilding the engine.
