I purchased my Jeep truck in 2011 and have been working on it ever since. It’s a 1951 with the “F” head 134. I had it certified for the road in 2013. Kaiser Willys has been very helpful with the many parts required and the shop manuals have been an absolute necessity. This truck has been a very interesting project and I just love driving it around town. My wife enjoys riding in it also because everybody waves at us. Because of it’s unique shape and sound, people recognize us from a long way off. We like to use it to do local errands and visits because it’s so easy on gas. It’s cheaper to run than my F-150. I just can’t do the highway speeds.
My father had a Jeep wagon when I was young and we went everywhere in it. The picture below is of me standing on the front fender. The flat fender Jeep was well known for the thicker sheet metal used at the time and the old guys would always talk about them being so strong you could stand on the fender.

Great looking restoration! I’m in process of “redoing” my ’42 which I’ve had since 1965! Thought I had done something different with my silver wheels; almost identical to yours! My body is not back on yet so happy to see how neat this looks with a medium color body. Have a great time using your new jeep.
