Q: Does this require a core?
A: No, there is no core fee. This is brand new. No core required.
Q: Does this new starter require the bellhouse bushing?
A: No, you will no longer use this. It is a simpler design.
Q: how can i tell if i have a L or a F motor?
A: The 4-134 L is a flat head motor and the spark plugs are straight up and down on the head.
The 4-134 F head motor is an overhead motor and has a rocker cover on top. The plugs are at a 45 degree angle on the block.

Is the drive gear 9 or 10 teeth count? Have you checked the mating to a 97 tooth ring gear? e.g are the contact angles correct.

I bought a 12v high torque starter and the install instructions said I would have to do a little grinding – but I could not figure out exactly where?
