A 1944 Willys MB while on display at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford was stolen on July 12, 2015. The jeep was first owned by the current owners father, a man who served in WWII. He bought the vehicle and had it shipped over from Hawaii to the UK after the war. The current owner inherited this MB from his father when he passed away in 1957 and had it put into storage. The vehicle was taken out two years ago and restored. The 73 year old owner had been showing the MB at various events in southern England but this was his first attendance at Duxford with the jeep. This is a very sentimental vehicle for the owner as it held fond memories of his father. Visit cambridge-news.co.uk for more information on this story. If you live in the area or were attending the event please contact the authorities if you have any information to help recover this piece of history and family.
