Samuel Skidmore's 1962 Willys Station Wagon

224: Samuel Skidmore’s 1962 Willys Station Wagon

I bought my 1962 Willys Wagon from a fellow in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2012. He had originally bought it here in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1969 so it was coming back home which I felt pretty good about. I took it to a friend Greg who owns the Rustbucket garage in Howell, Michigan and he restored both floor pans and the braces between by the doors. I have restored the wood and had the seats redune at Don Sullivans Upholstery Shop. I took the panels off the doors for patterns to make wood panels. I like the look. It is 4WD and they work both Hi and Low. It has a front winch and a rear PTO. I love my Willys.

  1. I had two just like that and photos of much of the same work. Painted inside and out , wood refinished , winch on the front. Keep on working. they will look very nice. Mine were red -1962, and a blue and white 63. Brings back memories. Thanks.
