This 1946 Willys Jeep became part of our family in August 2019, when my son was just 13 years old—now he’s a high school senior. Over the years, it has become his most prized possession. He’s always had a passion for Jeeps, and he was the one who discovered this one listed for sale online. His grandparents made the trip with him to Cleveland, Georgia to bring it home.

What makes this Jeep especially unique is its history. It was professionally restored by Richard Petty’s Garage and later auctioned at a NASCAR event in 2009. Raffle tickets were sold over the course of a year, with all proceeds benefiting Disabled Veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

From what we understand, the original winner kept the Jeep for several years before eventually selling it. Adding to its significance, Richard Petty himself signed the inside of the vehicle. Included with the Jeep are the original promotional poster, a letter of authenticity, and photos documenting its time at Richard Petty’s Garage.
