I bought my 1948 Willys CJ-2A right out of high school. We used it during Wisconsin deer hunting season and it was known as the Meat Wagon! Years later, my wife decided I should restore it. It truly was a family project with my two sons involved in the engine replacement, body work and painting. It almost felt like Christmas every time a box from Kaiser Willys was delivered! I added overdrive to the transmission so I am able to keep up with traffic during our local old car rides. I have the only Jeep in the crew. It has been displayed at the Iola Old Car Show. Although it’s not all original we absolutely love it.
