Q: Is the pulley diameter wide enough to fit an M38A1? Original is 6 3/8″.
- A: Yes this should work just fine for it.
Q: What machining is required for proper fit? Do you sell the key that goes between the pulley and the crank? Are the sheaves for wide or narrow belts?
- A: They are for the narrow belts. You have to lathe the inside diameter hole to fit.
Q: My neighbor is looking for the pulley for the 6-226 engine. This pulley has a anti vibrating device, rubber and steel ring fitted just beside the V-belt. Is this pulley available and what is the price?

Q: Does the Crankshaft Pulley have the timing marks?
- A: No they are not marked.
Q: I have a 46 CJ-2A that I have had for years… It runs great & lots of fun, until I heard a noise coming from the crank pulley. I removed the fan belt and noticed that the pulley was very loose and rotated back and forth on the crank shaft? I tried tightening the crank shaft bolt which was tight and did not fix the problem? Do you think the pulley key failed or do you think the pulley and key need to be replaced? How do you get the old pulley off without damaging it? What kind of puller do I need?
- A: There is a key that locks it into place. That is probably worn. I would take a look at that. You will probably have to go buy a puller to get it off.
