Complete Transmission Assembly – Part#: 946109
Q: Is this a different transmission than the omix brand? Who builds it? Would like any info you can give me..thanks.
- A: These are not foreign made transmissions. These are done here in the US. We have them built for us. Please see the description above and call us toll free with any questions.
Q: I have a 67 CJ-5 with 225 V6 and T86 and wanted to know if the T90 would be a direct bolt in. Am looking for a completely assembled/turn key transmission, so I can just drop it in, but have only found the T90 available completely assembled. Also, am thinking about getting a late 70’s 231 to replace the 225 and would like to know if either the T86 or T90 would bolt up to the 231 buick without modifications. I’m not looking to do any hard core wheeling, just to putter around in. Thanks
- A: If you have a Dana 18 then I’m sure we could help. Please call us toll free. We can probably get you fixed up.
Q: Hello. I have a 4-134 1962 Truck. The transmission is in a bad condition, bad synchronizer in 2 and 3 gear. And now it is impossible to get into the 3 gear. Can you give me some advice; new transmission or only the overhaul kit. Thanks.
- A: It depends if you want to rebuild it yourself or not. We can help you with either. Sounds like you will need to completely go thru yours though.
Q: Does the T-90 come with the shifter and gasket for the transfer case? It’s not in the picture.
- A: The shifter is separate. We have new ones available or we have parts to rebuild your old one too.
Q: Hi – will this transmission work with my V6 225 (’66 CJ-5)? I have a T-86 in there now, but I’m told they are interchangeable. Thanks.
- A: This will only work for the 4-134 engine but you could possibly make it work with an adapter.

Hi I have a 1967 CJ5 with a 225 Buick V6 and a T86AA-1B and it pops out of reverse and rumbles real bad like a couple teeth are gone. It looks like the cluster gear is almost the 1/2 the cost of a trans do you have a T86 replacement trans in stock or a retrofit drop in for something better ? If so could you send me the info, cost and availability time..
Thanks,
Dave
Hi Dave,
On the T86AA they are a weak transmission. What we can do is take the T86 transmission and put all T90 gears in there and build new. It is a much better set up. That runs $999.00 with free shipping. If you have any questions feel free to give Mike a call toll free 1-888-648-4923 and he will be happy to help you with this. Have a great week!
