097: Leon Ramirez’s 1952 Willys M38
I’ve always wanted a Willys and finally about 5 years ago I found one that I fell in love with and bought. It is in Colombia, where there are a lot of Willys which are used to go up mountains and open roads. Colombia loves Willys. It is kept in perfect condition and only driven by a few people. I treasure it with all my heart. Every time I am in Colombia that is all I drive. I have two sons and they love it. They think it is a cool car.

Why call it a M-38 when it’s plainly a CJ-3A with MB parts? Even the owner has CJ-3A painted on the bumperette.

I have two M38’s, original military and this doesn’t even come close.

Ok…….I’ve got to ask. Why is the tail pipe wraped with rope? Wouldn’t that burn up, or at least scorch the rope? Outside of that, very nice………I’m as green as the jeep with envy!!
