This CJ-2A was found in a field where it was heavily modified, beat up and left to rust. With the help of my sons and son-in-law, I worked for 5 years to finish a frame up restoration (my first and only). We decided to finish as a Navy Jeep. I have read stories of the US Navy re-purposing civilian CJ-2A’s for Navy work post WWII and numbered it with my dad’s birthday as he served in the Navy during that time. My granddaughter is featured in some of the pics wearing authentic Navy hat, dress, purse and shoes.
