640: Hali Lowell’s 1949 Willys Panel Utility

23 years ago, my father (an avid Willys advocate) and I got this Panel as a project car. It was extremely rusty and many thought the Jeep was far beyond repair. Over the years, we slowly but steadily built her up-highlights of our build include Dana 60 axels and an LS motor, and plenty of Kaiser Willys parts. We now have a fun weekend wheeler and many wonderful memories with more to come.

  1. You can be proud as hell to have such a fine looking Willy’s panel, and to think that you and your father built such an awesome rig together, is just awesome! Take it from me, don’t ever sell that jewel, you’ll be so sad that you did. You must have countless hours invested in that rolling art, don’t throw it away.

    Great truck.
