I bought this 1951 Willys CJ-3A about 4 years ago. I disassembled it down to the frame. Had the frame, springs, front and rear end powdered coated. I put all new bearings and seals in all the running gear. Installed new dash and firewall in body. Rebuilt the engine.

I replaced rusted out body parts. The body and paint was done by Dick Ellefson, many, many hours of prep, as you can tell by the mirror finish. Almost all parts were purchased through Kaiser Willys. I put a GM steering gear out front and installed a steering  column and much more. My first Jjeep was a 1946 Willys CJ-2A when I was 13.

  1. Well done! You picked a stand out color. This Jeep will run for many years and be an out standing ride.

  3. if you want it to cool the engine at slow speeds get a wind tunnel between the grill and radiator. that was done by willys overland and it handled the heat of the burma desert with an extra thick radiator.
