Fits: 1941-1966 MB, GPW, CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B, CJ5, M38, M38A1 Willys Jeeps.
Q: Will it work with an 11″ drum upgrade?
- A: Yes, it should work just fine if you have upgraded to 11″ to the original 9″.
Q: Do you have more detailed installation instructions? We all ready have the kit but no instructions.
- A: Yes, I can email some pictures. Please call us toll free (1-888-648-4923).
Q: Do you have a kit for a 48 Jeepster?
- A: This will fit for a Jeepster as well.
Q: I just re-assembled my 1949 CJ3A, but I’m considering to upgrade to the dual master cylinder, however now that is re-assembled there’s not much space to make any modifications. Do you know if it’s an easy installation without any major work?
- A: You have to cut away the side bracket and shorten your plunger. The other thing is just rerun your steel brake lines.
Q: Will this kit work with front disc brakes?
- A: It should work.
Q: Why would I want to replace the original single reservoir master cylinder with a dual reservoir master cylinder?
- A: It is a good safety upgrade over the single reservoir.
Q: I already have the correct master cyl, will you sell just the bracketry?
- A: Possibly. Please call us toll free (1-888-648-4923). We are more than happy to help out.
Q: What if there are no existing holes to mount the bracket for the duel master cylinder conversion kit
- A: The kit comes with the mounting brackets.
Q: Will this work on a 1967 CJ-5? At the top in looks like it’s covered but in the fits part it’s not.
- A: Yes it should work as long as you have a frame mounted master cylinder.
Q: What do you need to do to upgrade from 9″ brakes to 11″ brakes on a 1946 CJ-2A?
- A: We can help. Please call us toll free.
Q: THE BRAKE LINE FITTINGS ARE SMALLER THAN THE NEW MC FITTINGS , DO YOU HAVE ADAPTER FITTINGS? ALSO, WHERE DOES THE BREAK SWITCH MOUNT ON THE NEW MC? DO YOU HAVE THE BREAK SWITH?
- A: You have to redo your steel brake lines and run a new brake light switch for install.
Q: I purchased a dual master cylinder within the last two weeks and it didn’t come with a rubber boot for the master cylinder. The photo of kit shows one, was I suppose to get one with order?
- A: The manufacture doesn’t have the boots any more. You don’t need it for the install. They are fine without.
Q: I have a FC 170, will this unit work with the FC set up??
- A: It may be ok with some modification.
Q: I’m new to this. Why do you need new brake lines? Will the brake light switch still attach? Thanks
- A: You just have to rebend your lines to this one and put an inline switch in.
Q: Does upgrading to a dual reservoir master cylinder improve braking?
- A: In case of a failure there is an extra reservoir.
Q: Do you have brake line kit for the dual reservoir master cylinder?
- A: You have to make the steel lines there locally.
Q: I ordered and installed this conversion kit a while back but just now got around to running the new lines. About the time that I was finishing, I realized that I didn’t have a brake light switch installed and the new double cylinder isn’t set up to accommodate the switch like the old single brake cylinder. What is everyone else doing to work through this issue? Thanks…Kyle
- A: You just have to junction block in a switch. Please call us toll free. We are more than happy to help out.
